I was looking forward to receiving this book because of all of the wonderful reviews... I wonder if they received a different book than I did? 59 pages, very - very few photos all in black and white, poor quality one even left out, referenced in the text, but not printed (page 29). The 3 "floorplans" look like they were lifted from websites, no attribution of sources, no "helpful" links to further your research, thin book with thin content. The Author Bio on the back cover is a hint to the quality of the content.... "I Austin James have been a Builder/Carpenter for 15 years now and have been strongly encourages to publish a book to share my knowledge"...."Austin James, High End Builder and Carpenter". Well, in the book he keeps referring you to work with your contractor, and does not give any tips or share special "knowledge" one would expect from an EXPERIENCED "High end Builder and Carpenter". Don't make the mistake that I did, don't waste your money on this "book"... use Google.

I canâ€™t believe the reviews are real. Look at the page count of this â€œbookâ€. 49. All black and white and double spaced. A total of fIve little black and white photos. I donâ€™t understand how they can even call it a book, let alone â€œBestâ€.I sent it straight back to Amazon.

Very disappointed. I purchased this book based on all the wonderful â€œreviewsâ€ and was shocked the moment I opened the package. There are typos, it is of poor quality, and the information is very elementary. It is not what I expected at all. I am returning.

It gives you everything you need to know in order to get the container home of your dreams right away. There are many options that can make the whole process seem quite daunting. Though, don't let that get in your way. This book points out that it is really a matter of breaking down the process into simple steps. You don't need to know anything at all when reading this book. Tremendous disappointment and waste of money. This book is almost completely worthless. It looks like something a teenager might write for a class project. So little information of any real value it just reveals what a sham this author is. There's really no technical material or any real help for the owner Builder.

Looks like it was made at Kinkos and more like a blog than a book. No real info on how to build storage containers. Just a bunch of fluff to fill pages. Floor plans are blurry so you can't even read them. ZERO info on construction or layout. All about what to "think" about if you are considering one. Much more information on the internet. Save your time and money.

Very insiteful and great demos. Visuals are awesome. Great and easy read. Thanks so much because didn't know half of the work that was needed to make this happen

My daughter loves Pig the Pug! This book does not disappoint! You'll be laughing with your kiddo as you read this at night. :) We love all of Aaron Blabey books. Thelma the Unicorn is also a favorite. If you haven't read that one, you are missing out!

Aaron Blabey is a favorite author in our house. We have pugs as pets and enjoy the silly humor and writing style. The stories are appealing to both girls and boys (my girls reread his books over and over again.)

Great little book and story for kids. My only gripe is that the pictures are maybe too good; my kids often lose the message of the story as they get distracted with the pictures on the page!

We have all the Pig the Pug books. My 5 year old thinks theyâ€™re hilarious. I enjoy reading them to him as well, so itâ€™s a win-win!

My granddaughter loves this, seriously. When she told a little white lye I gave it to her. She couldnâ€™t stop reading it!

I love all these books and so does my son. Theyâ€™re funny and quirky and my son cracksnup every time we read them. I hope they publish dozens more of them!

I have bought almost all the Pig the Pug books for my nephews. I think they are great books. Some sentences are a little tricky but I think it is great for little kids to learn how to slow down and say what they are reading.

Book is adorable and teaches about the consequences of lying.

The woman told her that she had been supported in her education by her mother, who had heard of her scholarship and gave to her mother so she could continue in school. Year after year Immaculeeâ€™s mother sent the money to help the young student. The woman said that Immaculeeâ€™s mother was truely a saint. She said that she had promised God that she would do anything for that family if she ever could. She ended up taking fifteen Tutsi survivors in her own home.Immaculee, later forgave the man who lead the murderers in her own tiny town. Why? He had always been very well dressed and always acted as a friend of the family. She saw him now as a pitiful creature, famished and sickened. She learned it was his voice who searched for her so many times. He was trying to find her so he could kill the last family member and take their farm. She forgave him because that was all she could offer.The family of Immaculee and the many situations that happened in the story, has had a profound effect on me. I pray silently during the day. I have a new lease on life where I am nurturing the concept of gratitude in my son. I believe in God more intensely that I ever had. Dr Wayne Dyer, a noted psychologist, wrote the forward. He said it is the most important book of all of his thousands. Now it is my most imporant book.

This is a wonderful story of faith, grace, forgiveness and love. The fact that this is a true account of one woman's story made it even better. It was the suggested book for my book club, and few didn't want to read it because of the atrocities and the million people who were murder in the genocide. She does speak of it as it's core to the story and how faith and prayer helped her endure, as well as, survive. But, it's not real graphic on the deaths as some books tend to be. I believe any teen from 13 years old on could read this without parents fearing it has too much graphic detail of the horrors of war. It will help even a non believer to take pause at how prayer, faith, and asking for God's help can make life so much better.

I really wanted to love this book. I heard Immaculee speak this year and was truly moved by her words and her spirit. I purchased this kindle edition while still in my seat after she finished her talk. So moved by her love and power.This book has NOT that same voice. I must attribute it to the editor who supposedly made the manuscript ready for English publication. Immaculee was uplifting and full of love! This book says all the right things but is completely VOID of her tone. I'm fully disappointed. It's a very hard read. Emotionally. You may say it's because of the topic. This is true! But when SHE speaks, and she shared boldly the most explicit events without hesitation, it is without any animosity. She shared facts of horrific suffering but in a voice of love, a voice commanding repentance, commanding forgiveness.I just didn't hear her at all in the book. I wish they had published her words. I wish I could read that original manuscript.You will still get an inside view of this painful part of history. You will still learn of her faith.

The last "love package" I sent my great-grandson Devon contained clothing and a red firetruck. I wasn't ready to buy him anything else yet, but when his mother called to thank me for the other gifts, Devon got on the phone. At three years young he jabbers a lot. He dutifully thanked me for the lighted tennies, firetruck and other things...in his hurried, jubilant manner.And THEN...He took off with a long yammer about fireworks: "purple fireworks..." "Orange fireworks..." On an on he went. Neither I nor his mother could shut that kid up...but we really didn't want to. It was too-ooo cute and spontaneous.You see, his mother had taken him to the park the previous night to view the Fourth of July festivities and this was the first year he got really excited about the fireworks.Well, when I saw him that happy, since he would have no use for fireworks, I thought a book with those colorful, bursting sky displays would be just the thing! I searched on Amazon and came up with this charming book. I chose it because of the fireworks on the cover and because it had all the "trimmings" of a family Independence Day celebration: flags, a parade, picnic, baseball game, etc. Besides all of that, it also has a full-page picture of a real firetruck! How could I resist?When it arrived, his mother read the rhymed text to him in sing-song fashion and said he giggled all the way through; his eyes were as big as saucers as he ogled the pictures, pointing to everything in the book. As we knew he would, he exclaimed loudly over the fireworks, his little body animated with pleasure.I'm very pleased with this purchase and the rapid delivery; it arrived in their mailbox only two days after I ordered it. My only regret is that I couldn't be there to see his reaction. These little mice, the illustrator of the colorful drawings and the author get five stars. I'd give them more, if I could.

From the word go, Jason is a very likeable narrator. You're immediately immersed in his world and you feel his pain. I really liked getting to know him and his friends. It was also a nice introduction to Tucker Springs.I found myself easily rooting for michael and Jason. If I had to pick something I didn't like it's that we never got Michael's pov. I would have liked to see things through his eyes. Otherwise I really enjoyed it.

Bought the entire series and am slowly working my way through it. I love these boys, how they get together, the depths of the relationships and friendships they have. Every time a new character is introduced I can't wait to read about his story next and who he pairs up with!!!!!

I enjoyed this book because the characters were well-written and the story dealt with people who have real problems like financial issues, something you don't see much in romance books. I wasn't crazy about Michael's backstory with his wife and kid, but the scenes between him and Jason were great.

No surprise -- L.A. Witt has done it again in Tucker Springs. A good, warm-hearted story well told. No editing hiccups, as always for this author. I recommend it highly, and look forward to more Tucker Springs stories in the future.

Loved the story and enjoyed the write up of the characters so you know them better. Can't wait to read more of the Tucker Spring seris.

This is a great book especially for folks who want to walk out in nature without strenuous climbs and where there is a wide path usually to avoid things like ticks on brush. Also, very interesting history of the rail trails and area. A good read. Recommended.

For anyone interested in either discovering new trails to ride your bike on in new jersey or someone with an interest in railroading in the garden state the book is highly recommended. I live in northern n.j. (west paterson) and have taken the book with me on rides through some of the longer northern n.j. trails and have found the directions to the trail the sites to see and the remaining RR structures along the trail described very accurately. (Although the author seems to have missed mentioning the RR mile markers remaining on the essex branch by my house! ) Anyway i am 33 y.o. and i find that these long trails are sometimes a nice break from the more typical mtn. biking type of riding i also like to do in some of new jersey's other state parks. Dont get me wrong though ,these trails can certainly provide a great workout too. I recommend the southern section of the columbia trail through ken lockwood gorge as the nicest area in northern n.j.

This is the best book you can buy if you are interested in the great rail trails of NJ. Not only does it provide details about the trails, but the background and history is amazing. Reading the history of a trail before biking/hiking it makes the day more interesting. Great book!

Farid Medjdoub is a CNRS senior scientist at IEMN in France. A half century later, it's still easy to see why. This tale of an aged Cuban fisherman going head-to-head (or hand-to-fin) with a magnificent marlin encapsulates Hemingway's favorite motifs of physical and moral challenge. Yet Santiago is too old and infirm to partake of the gun-toting machismo that disfigured much of the author's later work: "The brown blotches of the benevolent skin cancer the sun brings from its reflection on the tropic sea were on his cheeks. The blotches ran well down the sides of his face and his hands had the deep-creased scars from handling heavy fish on the cords." Hemingway's style, too, reverts to those superb snapshots of perception that won him his initial fame: Just before it was dark, as they passed a great island of Sargasso weed that heaved and swung in the light sea as though the ocean were making love with something under a yellow blanket, his small line was taken by a dolphin. He saw it first when it jumped in the air, true gold in the last of the sun and bending and flapping wildly in the air. If a younger Hemingway had written this novella, Santiago most likely would have towed the enormous fish back to port and posed for a triumphal photograph--just as the author delighted in doing, circa 1935. Instead his prize gets devoured by a school of sharks. Returning with little more than a skeleton, he takes to his bed and, in the very last line, cements his identification with his creator: "The old man was dreaming about the lions." Perhaps there's some allegory of art and experience floating around in there somewhere--but The Old Man and the Sea was, in any case, the last great catch of Hemingway's career. --James Marcus

Ernest Hemingway did more to influence the style of English prose than any other writer of his time. Publication of The Sun Also Rises and A Farewell to Arms immediately established him as one of the greatest literary lights of the 20th century. His classic novella The Old Man and the Sea won the Pulitzer Prize in 1953. Hemingway was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954. He died in 1961.

This short novella earned Ernest Hemingway the Pulitzer prize in 1953. Having seen the movie, starring Spencer Tracy, and thus being familiar with the story, the book lacked the suspense that would have been present had I been introduced to the story for the first time. However, the writing is sublime and the philosophy suffusing the story is transcendent. The imagery is stunning. This is Hemingway at his very best.In reading several of his renowned full length novels, I was of the opinion that they could have been condensed into tighter stories. Conversely, I've found many of his short stories too abbreviated. It is in the longer short story/novella genre that Hemingway is most effective, in my opinion.As the title suggests, this is, at its core, the story of an elderly Cuban fisherman and his battle, not just with the sea, or the monster fish he is seeking, but with the obstacles and challenges of day to day existence. The old man faces each challenge resolutely and unflinchingly. He does what he has to do, because "that is what a man does." Hopelessness and sure defeat are not met with resignation, but instead with renewed strength and effort to the limits of his worn out body.The only other human character of consequence is a young boy, a former apprentice of the fisherman, who has been forced to leave the old man and join the boat of "luckier", more productive fisherman. He doesn't abandon the old man, however, but instead takes care of the old man.This novella is at times sad and inspirational. It can be read in 2-3 hours. I struggle with how to rate works such as this, given their brevity, but in the genre of short story/novella, this is clearly one of the best of its kind, easily deserving of five stars. If you haven't seen the movie, or heard the story, you will be blown away.

This was one of about 3 required readings l read back in high school without resorting to the cheater book, 'The Monarch Guide'.. It is short enough to read in two nights even being the slow reader l am... As a high school kid you can appreciate the 'learning from the old guy' thing going on with 'the boy' in the story... l have always thought on the many impressions l got when l read it the first time, and l decided that l should really read it again from the perspective of my older age. Now, at 65 yr old and having gotten through throat cancer, a couple back operations and through a few failures of my own, l admittedly may be a bit of a 'tired old man' myself.. l really related to the old man and his lonely effort to still 'get that big one'... I believe l enjoyed it better as an 'old man' than l did as 'a boy'... Now being older and wiser and not thinking of it back in the school discussions, l have got ask, ...when he was down to half of the fish, why didn't he pull that last half into the boat?? I also did not remember from school that Hemingway received the Pulitzer Prize for this book... So all you now Old Men of the Sea, need to give it another read...

A Love Story. Yes, A Love Story. But not what you may be thinking...It is about the love between the 'Old Man' (Santiago) and a young boy, his protege, his apprentice, his beloved companion, and about the boys love for him, too.And if love is also 'committment,' as it surely is, this, too, is what this book is about...The 'old man's' commitment to break his streak of 84 days without a catch. His willingness to to row way, way, way out, way beyond where any of the other fishermen were toiling...and to do this by himself, alone.And it's also about his love of (commitment to) fishing and, yes, his love of the 18' marlin (over one thousand pounds) that he caught, and with whom he dialogues throughout this wonderful tale..AND dialogues with him even after he had killed him, and, then, finally his ferocious committment to preserve the fallen fish, now dead, from the sharks that relentlessly tore into its carcass.This is also a book about nobility, about singleness of purpose, about purity of heart and bravery, endurance, and about friendship....about the love of the 'old man' for the boy, and of the boys love for the 'old man.'For Hemingway, who wrote 'The Old Man' when he was in his early 50's, this book was, I believe, a plaint, a cry about beauty, and about man at his best, and about good fortune and bad fortune, and about loss and sadness, and, in the end, about emptiness.This book is a treasure of dialogue...dialogue between the man and the boy that is exquisite, but even more, much more exquisite, about the dialogue between the man and himself, his reveries, and also between the man and his fish, the huge marlin, both when the fish was living and when he was dead.The Old Man and the Sea is artistry, pure artistry at its greatest, nary a spare word, never complicated...always lucid, aways compressed, transparent, pure. I have read that Hemingway labored over each and every word, each and every phrase, and edited and re-edited it endlessly.Only 127 pages, it is an easy read that bears periodic rereading...For this review, I have read it twice, and listened to it on tape twice...and I had read it before when I was in college in the late 1950's.Hemingway died about 9 years after this book was published...In some ways, The Old Man and the Sea can be considered his last and final testament...and what a beauty it is...A true treasure. And, of course, it did win both a Nobel and a Pulitzer...Finally, I don't want or mean to suggest or imply that this book is 'heavy.' Anything but...It catches perfectly the 'lightness of being' in it's descriptions of the weather, the processes of fishing, and the Old Man's love for baseball and Joe DiMaggio, and his arm wresting with a huge black man in Havana...In short, this book is also fun...

I have read this book several times, and each time I find some new meaning, something deeper than I had noticed before. No writer I know of could reach so far into the hearts of this boy and this old fisherman as Ernest Hemingway. The story speaks to something human that is indescribable, too deep for words. This time I was struck by the clash of the old man's excruciating fishing experience with the indifference of the waiter at the end, who when asked by a tourist what that wreckage of bones is, floating out there, just shrugs and says, "Tiburon." (shark), a fish which is a common, everyday sight in the Havana Harbor of the time. The waiter stands in for the big, silent, looming character -- The Indifference of the World. It's a marvelous story, Hemingway at his absolute best.
