This book is intended for people who need to understand manufacturing costs for some reason - either they own the plant, they're trying to estimate their supplier's cost basis, they are a salesperson who wants to know how to come up with prices for their customers, etc. It's not for accountants or MBA students. I think the book delivers on its promise. It's simple, clear, and concrete. 4 stars instead of 5 because I do wish it were available in print, and I also thought the formatting could have been a little better. Overall though, if you are the target audience this book is highly recommended!
Once you get past typos, various other grammar and mathematical errors it's a pretty decent book. There is good knowledge to be gleaned from it. Not much different than the stuff you learn in college.
Excellent explanation of costing with easy to follow examples. Recommend this book to those wanting to get a good overall understanding of manufacturing costs.
Highly recommend. A must read if you work in manufacturing especially machine shop business. Excellent knowledge from true experiences. Love it!
